1. Who we are
This website is operated by the Division of Health and Wellness (“the Division”, “we”, “us”), a Division of the Tobago House of Assembly (“THA”), established under the Tobago House of Assembly Act, Chap. 25:03, and Section 141A of the Constitution of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Under the Fifth Schedule of the THA Act, the Assembly is responsible for health services in Tobago, delivered operationally through the Tobago Regional Health Authority (“TRHA”) under the Regional Health Authorities Act, Chap. 29:05.

2. Laws that apply
We handle personal information in keeping with the Constitution of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (including the right to respect for private and family life), the Data Protection Act, 2011 (Chap. 22:04) and its General Privacy Principles as brought into force, the Freedom of Information Act, 1999 (Chap. 22:02), the Electronic Transactions Act (Chap. 22:05), the Computer Misuse Act (Chap. 11:17), and applicable THA and Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago policies.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us: when you submit an entry to the team directory, we collect your name, position, contact details and emergency contact details. Staff and administrators who sign in provide an email address and password.
Information collected automatically: basic technical data such as browser type, device, pages visited and approximate time of visit, used to keep the site secure and working well. Your display preferences (such as reduced motion) may be stored on your own device.
This website does not request medical records, diagnoses or other sensitive health information. Please do not submit such information through this site.
4. How we use information
- To maintain the Division’s team directory and enable contact in the course of official duties and emergencies;
- To authenticate staff and protect administrative functions;
- To operate, secure and improve this website;
- To respond to enquiries and meet legal, audit and record-keeping obligations of the THA and the State.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with authorised officers of the THA, the TRHA or the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago where needed for official functions, with service providers who host this website under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law, court order, or a lawful request under the Freedom of Information Act.
6. Public directory information
Certain directory fields (such as name and position) may be visible publicly and may be exported by visitors. Only submit details you are authorised to share. Contact the Division to correct or remove an entry.
7. Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections and role-based access restricted to authorised administrators. No online system is completely secure. Information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by the public records obligations of the THA and the State.
8. Your rights
Subject to the Data Protection Act and the Freedom of Information Act, you may request access to, correction of, or removal of your personal information held by the Division. Send requests to info@health.tha.gov.tt. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may seek recourse through the Office of the Ombudsman or other remedies available under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago.
